    Email Problem - Only showing the first product

    Hi all,

    Since upgrading to Actinic 8.5.2 I'm getting this new problem.

    If I send any email from Actinic like 'Order shipped, Order Received....' to a customer, the email they receive only shows the first ordered product in the email by 'Lines Ordered' when the customer has ordered more than 1 product.

    The funny thing is the preview of the email within Actinic shows all the products correctly, it's only the email that is sent out only shows the first ordered product only.

    Example email below copied from Actinic.....

    This is only a email sent problem, printing of any reports are OK and show all product.

    I only found out this morning, after sending out loads of 'Order shipped' emails yesterday and getting loads of phone calls and email from customers this morning saying 'we order and paid for 3 products but your conformation email is only showing 1 product sent, why?' and so on....

    Please Help!

    presumably this is just emails sent manually through Actinic? and it doesn't do it with the automatically generated customer receipt email too? (just so I know what to check when I'm on the other computer!)

      Hi Tracey,

      At the moment I think it's only to do with the emails I send from Actinic itself.

      I haven't done a test order to see if the 'Conformation email' sent by the web server has the same missing orders.

        well, I would imagine that, if the automatically generated emails were missing these orderlines too, you'd know about it because customers would have let you know already.

          Sounds like a bug to me - report it to Actinic

            Hi Les -

            I've just tried this on my default 8.5.2 and all three email lines appeared OK. Have you by any chance made any customisations to your Perl scripts that might affect this?

            The only thing I can suggest is contacting support and having them look at it to see why your emails are not working OK.

              Hi Chris,

              I haven't changed any Perl scripts. After further testing if I create a new default site in Actinic and send any emails they are fine from that site.

              It's only my upgraded sites that are affected.

                Hi Les,

                Further to our conversation from a little while ago, I will post here as well as let you know once I have your snapshot.

                I tested on a default site as well as an upgraded site and could not replicate the problem, online and offline.

                    The snapshot was passed to development and I am awaiting a response. I was unable to reproduce on a default site.

                      I am now experiencing a simliar problem with parts of my emails disappearing when the email is sent, so it looks like a bug with the new 8.5.2.

                      Unfortunately my snapshot is 238MB so it's not really suitable for emailing to support...

                        That's good in away. So I'm not the only one.

                        Did you upgrade your site from 8.5.1 ?

                        I have 5 Actinic sites, the 4 I upgraded all have the email problem, the 1 I didn't upgrade to 8.5.2 is fine.

                        Actinic has a snapshot of one of my sites with the email problem, so hopefully it will be sorted today.

                          Yep, I'm using the new 8.5.2 as well. Strange thing is though this only started happening since yesterday, I upgraded before Xmas and no problems as far as I know until now (at least all the Xmas orders didn't seem to have any problems, phew!).

                          For now I am settling for emailing customers manually but it's a bit of a pain, hopefully they can get it sorted soon

                              Maybe, more people could be having the same problem, but don't know it yet.
                              You either need to send an email to yourself from Actinic and check it, or a customer reports it from their end.
