Actinic Closes Whilst Uploading

Hi,
I have been using Actinic for over half a year and for the most part it is a great tool for making e-commerce websites.

I have just started to try and upload a recent site and keep experiencing an upload issue.

Actinic Closes about 30 seconds into the upload no error message or back up message. The program just disappears.

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it?

have you tried all the usual suggestions on the forum?
compact databases?
change script id?

Yeah it seems to work and then the very next time i upload it does the same thing

I have actinic 8 instaleld from which we upgraded our original site and have never had an issue.

This site i'm uploading now has been made from scratch in actinic 9

whilst posting the last tread i change script id again to no.5 and it didn't upload this time.
Is there a max script id number?
I'm trying 6 now i will keep you posted

No luck same problem.

I read there was an issue when sharing sites and using them in stand alone mode.

I've switching between them both but this doesn't seem to work.

Ok I have now
Change script id to 7 and tested settings and they all work.
i have converted to stand alone mode
and have compacted database

...

and no joy

Housekeeping > Purge > Purge Content - then try a site Refresh if you haven't already.

Can you successfully create a snapshot of the site or does that cause the Actinic to close as well?

Sounds like the unreplicatable bug that Actinic can not resolve. If you are unable to snapshot this is a sure sign you have been afflicted. Support may be able to resolve or it is a case of rolling back until you find a working install.

Duncan - how are you getting on with yours? Have support fixed it?

Support have come back to me and the problem lies with some PHP code. I'm looking into why because the same code is used on test products without any problems. I hope to narrow the problem down soon.

How did you get the live products into the new design? design snapshot?

Still having trouble with this issue.
I swithched the catalogue to test mode and it allowed me to upload
as soon as i tried it in the normal mode it started doing the same thing.

May be worth stripping back one at a time any mods you have made to the layouts to try and pin point which layout has killed the upload.

Can you run a network test and see if there are any warning messages?

i can do network tests and they work fine.

i'll try stripping the mods back
