I already have a fully functioning site with fasthosts and have never had a problem.

            Actinic 8 worked fine

Its just since i have tried to upload with actinic 9 i have started having problems with new sites. is there any known issues with having actinic 8 and 9 on the same system?

is your 'enhanced ftp' ticked in your Network Settings?
Maybe it's this area causing the problems in V9 vs V8?

                yeah it is ticked.

i'll untick it and see if it changes anything

Try checking Enhanced FTP but then unchecking use compression in the FTP options.

How many SPP products (including duplicates) do you have in the store?
Backup first then also try deleting a lot of child sections in large parent sections (without purging) and then doing an upload to see if it helps.

So were 99/100 fasthost users before you, even fasthosts now say you cannot use actinic reliably on their servers. Result = 99 people moved host, the odd one is still trying to fix it. Don't join him please, take some advice and move.

Thanks i understand what you are saying.

I have over 30 websites hosted and it would be a bit to much time for me to move them all and i don't need additional costs at the moment.

I can generate web site and the script can anyone send me a link for some instructions to upload manually

30 actinic sites? i doubt it. Only the actinic one needs to move. Additional costs? hows about lost sales, surely far more? Seriously why are you people so stubborn, it's utter madness in the face of overwhelming evidence.

You are not going to get some stupid manual upload solution, noone has to do such things (even if you could), we use hosts that work where we just click a button and go have a cup of tea.

I never said 30 actinic sites and i am not trying to be horrible to anyone.
I have 2 sites hosted on actinic
                            the rest are other projects.

I was trying to pursue a quick and cheaper solution than closing a reseller package.

I don't want to argue so i'll leave this post now means as it seems to inspire anger into you.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions

Most of you have been really helpful

Sorry Joseph I was driven by your "I'm tired and fed up" message, I presumed you actually wanted to fix this problem. Moving hosts is by far the cheapest and fastest solution for you. It's not an argument, it's an attempt to throw you a rope to stop you from drowning, while you are intent on throwing it back and shouting this concrete block will do me fine instead, how do i get it to float though.

You do not have to close any reseller package, 29 sites can stay on that no problem, JUST the actinic site needs to move.
