Adding product thumbnails on homepage

We are using Business V8 8.5.3 IDHB the ‘smart’ theme on my brother site www.oakis.co.uk, and I now want to add some link product group thumbnails to homepage. I tried looking through the help manual but cannot find how this can be achieved, so hopeful someone here can help me?

You could use New Products or Best Sellers.

Thanks for your input, which was really helpful, and explains another problem I have, has I change the site theme from business to smart, and the product page appears here: http://www.oakis.co.uk/acatalog/shop.html instead on the home page, and it’s content is also duplicated, can you help me with this?
