tbh Darren..I've been under the assumption that we, as merchants, don't need to make any changes

I think what we're all looking for is some confirmation from Actinic that this is the case!

No changes are mandatory at this time.

PROTX have clearly said they are extending the deadline on adoption of Authenticate and Authorise to 1st September.

You can, as I am, continue to use PREAUTH until Actnic release the amended OCCProtxTemplate perl file, and make the necessary change when you do that installation.

I've been under the assumption -that we can get away without making any changes immediately with the url referrals that Protx are putting in place. However, I'm also assuming that Actinic need to send out some updated files with new url details to stop, as Protx mention, the additional processing time this will cause.

the reference i made to pending orders i have since been told was an out of date ssl issue and not protx related so my apologies to all for the confusion. my fault for quoting second hand information

all i have done so far is give protx our logo to load onto the new server. when acitinc come up with the patch i will install locally. i will then have my payment templates updated to match my site design once everything is working okay. if anyone would like to quote for this work please send me an email/PM.

          thanks.

How are the new files going? Is there an ETA on when they will be ready?

              Hi Pete,

We have put in the changes that were required to the best of our knowledge and are yet awaiting Protx's confirmation on the changes and the testing etc.

Protx however confirm that the old URL's should work as normal for the time being. I am sorry I dont have more information for you at the moment but Protx are being a bit of a pain to communicate with.

              Kind regards,

                  Cheers, Bruce

FWIW, I spent 45 minutes on hold to Protx the other day (I started off 9th in the queue!), waiting to talk to someone because my payments had stopped working.

They certainly seem chronically under-staffed at the minute.

I have received the links from Protx and thought that it would be easy to edit these. I'm using VSP Form therefore need to replace the following link:

/vps2Form/submit.asp or /VSPAdmin/submit.asp with the new link:

                    /vspgateway/service/vspform-register.vsp

I went to the 'OCCPROTXScriptTemplate' file in the CommonOCC folder. I felt really confident at this stage (what a mistake.)

I cant find the links that need replacing. All I can find are these links:

                    $sPROTXURL."vps2Form/ActSuccess.asp and
                    $sPROTXURL."vps2Form/ActFail.asp

The /vps2Form/submit.asp is no where in sight.

I then noticed that my OCCPROTXScriptTemplate was written in 2002. I'm using Actinic V8.5 and all has been working fine with Protx. Should I have a newer version of this Script (maybe it has the /vps2Form/submit.asp link?)

This whole thing should be so easy, I've uploaded my company logos to Protx and they have assigned them to my accounts. All I need to do is edit a Link but I can't.

Is it that my script is from 2002?

                      Sue

I suggest you wait for the new file from actinic, the 2002 version is correct and current, i beleive the urls are parsed elsewhere, also as mentoned PROTX are doing redirects from the existing url's to the new ones

Protx has been down most of the day, but now apparently its ok. However, it seems that payments are now stuck in payment pending, our protx page has gone back to the blue default protx page and at the end of a payment it goes to a page that cant be found.

                        Anyone else having these problems?

So do we have an answer to the original question yet?

Where do we make the changes to the submission URLs that protx sent us?

or if this is something that actinic needs to configure, has it been done yet?

                              Protx Order Details Email

                              Hi,

What a nightmare week, what with protx and royal mail !!!!!!

                              Anyway.

Now protx seems to be functioning again, my protx emails now contain descriptions of items ordered, but this is blank, is there an upgrade yet for actinic so these items will be displayed, or is this still a protx issue ??

                              Thanks,

I asked this a while ago HERE with no real response to date.

I understand that ensuring Actinic was going to work with the new Protx upgrade was a more critical issue but these new format emails are confusing as they do, indeed, show "blank" orderlines.

Mind you, I haven't received any customer Protx emails from the test orders I've placed, only the merchant copies.. I'm not sure why that is

I'm sure these blank lines will appear on the customer emails too though and they can only serve to confuse customers
