Presumably if I want to test this first I'll have to put in the change and upload test, then immediately back it out of the .ini again so that I won't inadvertently update live?
Good question but it will only update when you change the number, question is will it update across all sites as you start them up ?
ok...tested with another card of mine (one which never gives me an address match even though it IS registered at my home address ) and still had a successful completion, redirect etc
so there's definitely something else going on here that is affecting kev, Darren, steve etc
I don't know if this helps but quite sometime ago I had to change something in the ini file and the password got changed back to the default one when i reopened actinic - worth checking - I know it sounds daft.

not daft, Sally..it happens a lot and with some of Protx's new error messages being different from before, it's harder to recognise a "familiar face" now!
It used to give an error with invalid VendorTXcode.... but who knows if that's something they've changed...certainly worth checking the OCCProtxScriptTemplate in the site folder, just in case
I just want to add to this that, with the new URLs in place, I am still getting successful payments going through...test and customers.
Had one fail with a status message I've not seen before but it's obviously unrelated.
Obviously there is something happening to cause this 5030 error though.
There is reference to it on the Protx support forum HERE
I don't know how helpful that thread is towards a solution...maybe someone from Actinic can advise?
yes - defintiely worth checking the $password and also the secret key - Ive had this go wrong on more than one occasion and had to re-enter.
Will have another go later...
Just had a new protx email - delay on custom templates although we have done all the leg work and tested them before emailing. They say next week now which prob means week after...

I remembered that we tested the customers site on a test URL that was still there, tried to order on this and all was fine. the only difference is that the customer is now upgraded to 8.5, I replaced the scripts from the test site with his, uploaded, and all works. The scripts have none of Bruces fix in them.
Very strange
