    I think that's correct - I had a similar problem when changing mode from PREAUTH to AUTHENTICATE - Actinic obligingly overwrote all other settings in OCCProtxTemplate.pl at one point. Check what's in your OCCProtxTemplate.pl file compared to the backup...
    I didn't have to time to go into the hows, whys and what-the-hells at the time so can't give chapter and verse.

        been switched live and now working after an occ file upgrade within the site folder - the annoying thing is when you increment the occ..ini file and restart actinic overwrites the protx file with test vendor so you then have to re-edit before uploading - but it works!

        Going to try Bruces update now...

        Works!!

          I've just added Bruce's updates to the OCCUpgrade.ini file and as Kevin says above, it resets the file: Site\CommonOCC\OCCPROTXScriptTemplate.pl back to the default.

          This seems to happen whenever you increment the version number in OCCUpgrade.ini.

          Best thing to do is take a backup of OCCPROTXScriptTemplate.pl or failing that, like me, you then need to re-enter the password and email address for orders together with any edits you did which are placed on the Protx receipt sent out such as replacing "you can enter your own message here".

          Obviously don't increment the version number on OCCUpgrade.ini after changing OCCPROTXScriptTemplate.pl, it's not necessary.

          Once I re-entered the password on OCCPROTXScriptTemplate.pl everything worked fine.

          I'm still confused by the following in the OCCPROTXScriptTemplate.pl file as I assume these urls would also need to be changed for test mode - can you enlighten me Bruce?

          if ($bTestMode) {
          # $sPROTXURL = "http://localhost/";
          $sPROTXURL = "https://ukvpstest.protx.com/";
          } else {
          # $sPROTXURL = "http://localhost/";
          $sPROTXURL = "https://ukvps.protx.com/";

            One other thing - I didn't need to re-enter the secret key in Actinic.

              it didn't reset mine though!
              However, I did make the changes to the occupgrade.ini with Actinic OPEN so this might be why.

              Actinic could really do with commenting on this so that we can have a step by step (idiot's guide...no offence LOL) to doing this.

              I'm starting to think Jo (pinbrook) has a point...WorldPay is SO much less hassle!

                  I was thinking the same myself, cant believe this PROTX saga is still lingering on.

                    LOL Jo
                    that wasn't supposed to be an insult or anything!

                    I've been thinking about it a lot over the last 7 days.
                    I've spent so much time faffing about with Protx...on here...in Actinic..on the Protx forums.. I've wasted valuable "work" time where I could have actually been doing something productive!
                    And I haven't lost half as much in terms of money and business as some people have. I'm just talking man-hours.

                    I'm very serious considering calling WorldPay and pricing them up as a PSP only.
                    Protx has about done me in (and I'm not easily pushed!)

                      Follow it through bumpsy, people are often so complacent on stuff like this, it allows crap companies to get away with crap service for too long. Start the revolution and let us know!! The name PROTX will soon be mud in these waters.

                        it wasn't taken as an insult, it made me smile as often i feel that alot of my posts simply get ignored coz they aren't what the poster wanted to hear.

                        I thought you were with WP before you jumped to Protx?

                        I am pretty sure someone (possibly FSB) told me you ought to get 1% as transaction cost if using WP as PSP only. And Alistair (weatherman) says settlement is 3 days.

                        I've wasted valuable "work" time where I could have actually been doing something productive!
                        thats my reasoning for not using Protx

                          I did used to be with WorldPay, Jo, yes.
                          I moved when they wouldn't budge on their 28 day settlement (this was for an "all in one" account, not just PSP and, at the time, Protx/Cardnet saved me a fortune.

                          I'm hoping that now, the FSB/Streamline/WorldPay combo might be a cheaper deal (although I'm not letting them keep my money for longer than a week for any deal!)

                          I'll see what they say. I bet they're busy with callers who want to switch this week already!

                            seems to need new URLs for OCCPROTXScriptTemplate.pl
                            sPROTXURL = "https://ukvps.protx.com/" incorrect?

                            "SuccessURL=".$sPROTXURL."vps2Form/ActSuccess.asp?ActVendor="
                            "FailureURL=".$sPROTXURL."vps2Form/ActFail.asp?ActVendor="

                            PROTX failure URL still works but Success URL returns with internal server error and customers don't get to see receipt page.

                              Hmmmmm

                              might just have to take a look at WP myself, there was another one mentioned on another post, let me go and route it out.

                              Problem is mine is workling ok, i have not implemented Bruces fix yet on the live site, want to do a bit more testing on the test site 1st

                              I think maybe a waiting game and see how the land lies over a couple of days

                                Paul,

                                seems to need new URLs for OCCPROTXScriptTemplate.pl
                                sPROTXURL = "https://ukvps.protx.com/" incorrect?

                                "SuccessURL=".$sPROTXURL."vps2Form/ActSuccess.asp?ActVendor="
                                "FailureURL=".$sPROTXURL."vps2Form/ActFail.asp?ActVendor="

                                PROTX failure URL still works but Success URL returns with internal server error and customers don't get to see receipt page.
                                The changes to the OCCUpgrade.ini file is all that is required.
