You will however have to redo the {site}/CommonOCC on incrementing the version number of the 'OCCUpgrade.ini' file for reasons mentioned above. Especially if each site has a different account.

Hope that helps clear up the process.
    Not really...

The process for updating to the new URLs is now spread over a thread spanning 9 pages and 170 or so posts, with the initial instructions and then updates and corrections scattered around.

Bruce, is it possible to just combine them into a final, tested, step by step list of instructions (maybe one for single sites, and another for multiple sites)?

That was done two or three days ago. [On checking, it was only yesterday - but it seems longer, I'm pulling a Lee ]

Bruce updated the Protx Integration sticky thread in the PSP forum. [And the sticky thread title is 'Setup Guide for Protx']

Yup, I noticed this on Wednesday testing the lack of card details validation that apparently is all a figment of my imagination. Have to say I forgot about it at the time as in the grand scheme of Protx's current problems it's pretty minor, but I agree it looks worrying from the customer's point of view.
        Did anyone mention system testing?

sorry I must have missed the link to that one - this is rather a long thread!

[edit]The instructions on that page don't mention the instructions about how to edit that file without it screwing up and overwriting itself as above - would be useful if that was pasted into the same instructions (especially for some reading only that thread, not having read this one first!)

Wow - what with all the PSP 'upgrades' taking place it probably wasn't the best time to do a complete site re-design. We have made all the changes to the URL's and everything seems to be working fine except for the above issue which a few customers are getting. Can I just confirm that these errors are due to the excellent techincal processes at Protx and not something we can address within Actinic that I may have missed?

            Cheers

Maybe this is a problem caused by using the old redirected URLs, I know I'm still using them. How about you? and mccanm? Are you still on the old URLs or the new ones?

Did anyone else get these errors and then upgrade to the new URLs? Did the problem go waay or remain?

FWIW we're on the old URL's at the moment and getting the Test Server background on cancels. Waiting for reports on that before making changes.

and, I must add, I am using the new URLs and cancelled orders this way (as in reaching the payment page and then hitting "cancel") myself earlier this week (Wednesday, I think) and did NOT get the test server background.
However, I haven't done any dummy/cancelled orders since so can't confirm that that is still the case. Protx may have messed with it since!

Editted to add...they evidently HAVE done something since because it IS now showing the TEST SERVER page background behind it.

                  Oh dear...

We are still on the old urls I tried a test with the new URLs and it did not work I got the same error as quoted on the protx forum

                    https://support.protx.com/forum/Topic3583-26-1.aspx

"There was an error contacting the vendor site

An error has occured on this page!

                    The Error Number is: -2147483638

The Description given is: The data necessary to complete this operation is not yet available

Please contact Protx about this error

You have been charged for this transaction although the vendor may not be aware of this."

This was when the customer tries to get back to our site to view their receipt.

This may have been because we were in a test environment but I haven't worked up the courage to try it in live yet.

Can I assume that the fix is valid for V7 business sites as well??

(Will actinic still be releasing a V7 PSP.exe patch for all those not reading the forums?)

Very good question - and if so when, trying to decide whether to jump in or wait until patch released.

                        Hi,

The changes required will be the same for v7 as for v8 as the script is basically the same between versions. I am not sure if we will release a new PSPSetup.exe for v7 at this moment but will check and post back.

                        Kind regards,

                          Hi All,

The v7 PSPSetup.exe will be released around the same time as the v8 PSPSetup.exe. Unless the redirects cause a significant problem, the releases will be at the same time as v8.5.2.

                          Kind regards,

Just for info, we are using the new urls with 8.5.1 and see the test server background when cancelling a transaction.

We also have had customers receive a variety of messages from time outs to error pages althogh we haven't been able to recreate these when testing ourselves. Thankfully it seems like only a few customers that this has happened to but at least one new customer has promised never to return
