Protx Changes from August 1

    'test' to 'production' with PROTX not working

    Hello,
    Can anyone here shed any light on this please? It seems related to the issues here.
    I tested my client's site in PROTX test mode. All OK.
    I go live, and the sites webpage says "You will now be automatically transferred to the Protx VSP secure server to process your credit card details with complete confidence." But this transfer does not happen.
    PROTX have washed their hands of the problem and told me categorically that "all the shopping carts are at fault as they are not updating their software" to be compliant with their new PROTX protocols.

    Any one got any ideas please? My client and I are caught in the middle of something it would seem.

      Actinic works fine with protx, your problem is unlikely to do with the changes that have just occured. If you search the forum for 'protx doesn't transfer', here is one of the results I got that looks useful.

          Hi,
          I have been following this thread. I have changed the code in the ini file as Bruse said and changed PREAUTH to AUTHORIZE in the scripttemplate file. I get this error:

          VSP Form Transaction Error

          This transaction attempt has failed. We are unable to redirect you back to the web store from which you were purchasing. The details of the failure are given below.


          Status: INVALID


          Status Detail: 3014 : The TxType or PaymentType is invalid.

          I have tried calling Protx but the queue is 40 mins.

            There have been some inaccurate posts about this. The payment type should be AUTHENTICATE - there are instructions on the Protx site.
            You should also check that Actinic isn't helpfully overwriting your vendor name, and/or secret key details. There's some info about that hereabouts.

                  well I have to admit I'd never had to call them at all until last month sometime so I wouldn't know longer term... but I do know that when I did call them (mid-July sometime) it was about 45 mins on hold

                      Still having issues. I changed it to Authenticate first I got error 5030 then 3090 after I changed the protocol to 2.22 instead of 2.20.

                        As I mentioned, check back over this thread - sounds like your OCCPROTXScriptTemplate.pl has been reset to default settings?

                          Now that a few people have made these changes and seem to have successfully integrated can someone type up a correct set of instructions? It would REALLY be appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

                            BRUCE posted explicit and concise instructions in the PROTX sticky at the top of the Actinic PSP's Forum quite some time ago.

                            No need to read all the panicky posts from before the solution was developed. Go straight to the sticky and get just what you need - and no more than what you need.

                                Have protx added your logo Paul? I read their updates that suggested we'd all need to learn a new programming language for managing custom templates and glazed over, is that all I have to do, send them an image just as I did when I set up the site originally?
