    Hi

    We are having a nightmare with this paypal express problem. The issue to us looks like a actinic problem as the cgi-bin is creating jumbled links to paypal.

    We have tried purge and refresh a few times, and there was 2 scripts in the cgi-bin folder on our server that were not purging, we have now deleted them manually. and have run another purge and refresh with no results.

    If, paypal have changed something, as actinic claim, how then is actinic generating rubbish links to paypal? No wonder its not working, it is not getting as far as paypal, the link from actinic to paypal is wrong.

      One of my clients has been affected by this and we don't use Clook hosting.

      All PayPal orders from yesterday and today have been affected.

        There does not seem to be many other discussions about any Paypal problems around the net, although did find one forum thread on another site that describes a similar problem - Paypal-IPN-Failing-suddenly and in post #19 someone says:
        I just got word back from one of my contacts about this. Apparently PayPal has been suffering from an IPN bug that was causing these problems for you.[/
        although no idea how accurate that information is.

          This is an extract from my error log regarding the os000001.pl file that is causing a problem.

              This thread was started less than 24 hours ago so not an old thread, perhaps you have looked at Join Date of the OP.

                  It also doesn't seem to be limited to a particular version of SellerDeck.
                  The above six sites that have confirmed the problem include V9, v10 & v11
                  The precise version being:
                  9 JHZA
                  10 LAFA
                  10 LDZA
                  10 LMFA
                  10 LDZA

                    I';m on 10.0.4 LDZA

                    Paypal orders were going into 'pending' correctly up until 23.39 last night (30th July)

                    All orders from today, starting at 02.47 have been staying in payment pending.

                    Its been working correctly for years.. no changes made on actinic or at hosting.

                      Trying to checkout with 'paypal express' brings this error;

                      The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

                      Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@blah.co.uk and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

                      More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

                      Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
                      Checking out with paypal standard, takes you to the correct paypal login screen, and allows payment, but there is no call back so orders stay in pending payment

                        PayPal are still blaiming hosts - but surely with so many different hosts as demonstrated here it must be an issue with PayPal?

                          Seems a little strange that the problem has started at different times for different people and not all at the same time, unless Paypal has rooled out a change over 2 or more nights.

                            I can confirm that we are experiencing the same issue as of yesterday.

                            Paypal are indeed blaming the hosts but I host our site.

                            The error message received is identical to kraken17

                              The problem appears to be the perl module Crypt::SSLeay.

                              I have identified that one of the failing sites is using Net::SSL 2.85 released 29 July 2012 with Crypt::SSLeay 0.60 but a new release was made on 30th July 2012 with Crypt::SSLeay 0.60_01 http://search.cpan.org/~nanis/, another site that works is using Net::SSL 2.77.

                              My analysis and the logs shown earlier in this thread all point to Net::SSL.

                              I'm 99% sure that if you can point this out to your ISP's that they will update the Crypt::SSLeay version to the latest and resolve the problem.

                              I'm surprised that so many ISPs seem to have taken the first update so quick but not the second.

                              You may want to check your perl module versions before contacting your ISP by running the 'Web Site Analysis' from SellerDeck at 'Help | troubleshooting'

                                my site is failing.

                                As you said;I am on
                                Pearl modules
                                Net::SSL 2.85
                                Crypt::SSLeay 0.6

                                I run my own server using WHM. Can anyone tell me how to update these scripts?
