Your site has been live for 6 months and your corporate colours change and you need to change that sentence to be green instead of red. Now in the olden days you would need to open up 200 pages and individually change the colour. Instead of doing that nowadays, we would give the top paragraph a style and place that style in our stylesheet.

To change the colour to green using CSS, we would change the colour once in the stylesheet and the 200 pages would change instantly as they get the colour from the stylesheet, not the colour directly in each page. That in very basic terms is what CSS is all about, it's power and speed basically with all styling taken out of pages and put into one central file. You then change things in the style sheet and that does your whole site for you.
and having done exactly that last month, I can see why CSS has advantages in this area, at least!!

Although I would have thought that the majority of people (visitors/customers) would expect to see it spelt "footwear" and so might see it as a misspelling?
Right or wrong, I'd be inclined to go for what the majority expect to see.

Unless, of course, I'm the minority in thinking that it looks wrong!

                      Yip... living it large!

You've got a nice looking site so far. The colour scheme works well and I enjoyed the fonts. The path to product is easy to navigate.

One thing to look at is the black footer links. They are lost against the dark background.

Look forward to seeing your completed site.

Has anyone had a chance to check out the site? Any constructive critism would be greatly appreciated!

Viewing within IE7. your items/value box is out of line, compared with the rest of the navigation. personally i find the black harsh for my tastes. the heading Product sections looks a pixel bigger than the rest of the navigation; you may want it this way. You might want a viewable copyright statement as well.

Rather than diluting this thread it would be better to start a new thread for a particular site review response. This thread is really intended to be just a showcase of Actinic designs.

You'll get more people giving you constructive comment in a dedicated thread.

Hi Jenny and Drounding, thanks for your replies.

I'll take a look into the Items and Values box, you're right about that.

Drounding, I'll also start a new thread, thanks for the tip!
