For anyone interested, I've added George's suggestion to include formatting of credit card numbers. This will standardise numbers to the "xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx" format, and will verify the number as a valid credit card (will handle the major card types including American Express and others with fewer than 16 digits).

You can omit the spaces by searching for

chr=" "

and replacing it with

chr=""

or you can insert another character, a hyphen for example. Hopefully this is useful for those not using an online PSP. Zip file is on my website.

Still getting a few orders through in no capitals, or all capitals, etc. Are these maybe folks with `saved` information from previous orders?

George, yes, that is probably what is happening. I've had a similar problem over the last few weeks, only just now realising its coming from customers who previously saved their details.

Some changes could make the script run when the user hits the 'Next' button instead, but it would need some heavier modification by the user. Easier for everyone to stick with this!

Meaning the chr="" should be chr=" "

Just want to say thanks very much Graham, all up and running - it's great to test this code on my live site and watch the characters corrected automatically!

Just to keep you on your toes Graham, maybe a nice tweak would be not to separate postcodes which are all numerical, ie USA, etc.

And possibly even ignoring the mixed case response when someone enters `USA`.

This is feedback only buddy, not a complaint in any way.

Anybody found a workaround for the County/State field? Since Actinic verifies the data as part of the location I cannot get the onblur to work.

Having received 2 orders this week from MacClesfield it suddenly dawned on me it was not careless typing by the users but Grahams script doing it's thing
