A quick update - tried again with HSBC this pm re Creditcall/AP. Got a bit further this time - I hope.

A certain Rashid (no surname) told me I needed a new merchant number to associate with CreditCall ... not sure why as the same one is used for EPayments and Protx and that hasn't been a problem at all.

Anyway, apparently he has logged it as a new lead (dontcha just love it when they start on the old sales talk) and I should get an "offer" in 48 hours. Hmm.

Not prepared to pay HSBC another penny tbh so the offer had better be good.

Knowing my luck they will delete my existing merchant account details and I'll be left with nothing.

it's quite usual to need a new merchant account or accounts when switching PSP. Streamline do this too. The obvious disadvantage of this is cost but often FSB members will get these accounts free depending on provider.

        Actinic Payments

        Hi

I have only a small grumble about AP, the reporting... if I want to look at a day or two or even 7 days history, absolutely great.. but I have yet to be able to get on the screen for "This month" or Last month" transactions, even despite leaving the windows open to allow them time to process..

I would do an offline report, but you need to get to that page to press the button. am actually doing to try and log on late tonight, my theory being that the server shouldnt have many people trying to access the data..

Has anyone else had this problem and found a resolution ?

        Many thanks
Okay, I pulled the pin. Now what?... Wait!...Where are you going?

I use HSBC for my PDQ terminal and have very good rates (excellent in fact). However, when I turned to them to get rates to process AP/Creditcall, they were twice as high! HSBC didn't return phone calls and were generally useless. Consequently, I decided to use Streamline and their offer through FSB. Streamline couldn't have been more helpful and gave the best rate of any merchant service provider I tried.

Can you try and get the name of the person who is actually telling you this stuff at HSBC, and also their direct number?

Then we can pass to Neil to resolve.

I can assure you that we have live merchants linked to HSBC.

              Chris
I have called Streamline today, spoke to the guy, he told me he never heard of AP or creditcall, so can anyone tell me Neil's contact number?

in regards to waived joining fee throught FSB... i was told that joining fee will apply (£150) regardless whether you are a member of that association or not. If I did go for a machine (Chip'n'Pin) and not Internet payment processing, then it would be waived.

              credit card processing charge: 2.8%
              debit card processing: £0.50

              Would I be ripped off?

              Thanks.

sounds like they have new people working there, streamline cost me nothing to sign up and i recently started AP and the two merchant charges of £75 were waved as well because i was a member of the fsb

Call Actinic's local rate number 0845 129 4888 and press 3 for order progress and billing and enquiries.

                    Two points

One benifit of Protx not mentioned here is that now Sage own the company they have prommised better intergration into sage accounts which should make reconsiliation better, but maybe in the future or 2009

Have just installed 9.0.3 onto a new slave computer, pointed it to my master computer where the MDB's are and it automatically upgraded my site and changed protx settings for me

Now I had not intended to upgrade the system untill saturday (i main computer with MDBs on and three slaves) and at the same time exchange two old computers for fresh new ones.

What order should I upgrade the computers to 9.0.3, Main, then slaves or slaves then main

Also I assume I only need to change Protx data on the main computer at the end for each of my sites

Using Business Plus and 7 sites on XP

just to update: I have called him again to clarify, and was told that CreditCall is not authorised psp, and they connot set the merchant account for me.

Looks like I will go for protx.

This is rubbish. There are any number of Actinic community members who use Streamline and Actinic Payments/CreditCall.

Could Chris B step in again?

Looks like Streamline are sending out very mixed messages indeed.

I've been using Streamline/AP since March! They knew way back then who Creditcall were!

The guy was intensively trying to push me to sign up with world pay aswell, completely ignored me when I was talking about CreditCall/AP. I understand why... sister company... He thinks that i don't do my homework...
I'm having a meeting with him on monday! it's gonna be fun for me when instead of all his sales talk i will push pure facts in his face and refuse his service... And then file a complaint against him in the head office He obviously ignoring his potential customer...

you ask me to tile your bathroom, I tell you that it's not possible since your bathroom has got tiles already, and instead I offer you to tile your kitchen...

                            What a wonderful life...

From this morning, we, as in British taxpayers, hold a majority stake in RBS. Next time I speak to Streamline, if I ever do, I might just remind them of that.

You also own the government, Armed Forces, Police, Town Hall etc BUT BUT BUT they never listen to you, what makes you think RBS is different
