    Hi,

Thanks for your feedback, I will ensure it is passed on.

It's a real shame to hear you are going to be moving us to a backup. Please remember that you will be able to customise these pages and we are bringing in a number of new benefits in line with this relaunch but I respect your choice as a business owner.

Please let me know if theres anything else I can help with, or help to change your mind.

    Kind regards,

    Joe

It's good to see you being very helpful actively responding Joe.

I am a bit concerned as to why Sage are rebranding such a well known PSP to another name and therefore causing merchants possible loss of sales for those prospective customers who have never heard of Sage - never mind Sage Pay.

Take over the PSP fine, but why was rebranding of such a well known name deemed required?

Must admit I am very, very disappointed with this. Absolutely no notification of this by e-mail or by mail. You'd expect a major rebranding like this would merit at least a phone call or an e-mail - but nothing. Why Sage continued to waste time and money making 'Protx' a market brand I'm [expletive] if I know. Actinic seem to be making AP too easy to jump into bed with, but then there's the thought of putting all your eggs in one basket. Major re-think for our PSP is required, I think.

IMO the old Protx pages gave better buyer security confidence, then there's this. wtf.

yes, i know its possible to edit the pages, but is it easy for the layperson?

from experience, i ahve had your *own* demo template denied by your template thingy.

can you make it easier, or perhaps have a more simple 'replace the header jpg with my own by uploading one here' option.

Switch from Protx to Sage Payments

Is anyone suddently experiencing an error when downloading pre-authorized payments into Actinic from Protx? From this morning Actinic is not receiving or doesn't understand the pre-authorizations for deferred transactions from Protx for orders that have not been 3D authenticated. The orders appear on the Protx system as being pre-authorized but Actinic doesn't seem to recognize that they are pre-authorized.

I actually quite like the new layout and think it's an improvement on the old PROTX page which was looking quite dated. It seems to be working ok so far touch wood.

We have had at least two emails flagging this up and giving dates, with new logo's, URL's etc. So don't know why others wouldn't have received this. Actinic Support when I rang to confirm that they would be changing the URL's didn't know anything about it, then went away coming back a few minutes later saying the developers know about it and would post here with details ! No sign of that.

                  Regards

Seems to be a thing for Spring... just the same as Worldpay rebranding as RBS, great timing

Hello, just to clarify regarding the Protx integration with Actinic:
                      • According to communication from Protx, the integration will continue to work without any changes required for the next 6 months as the URLs will be forwarded.
                      • A new PSP installer with these changes will be included in 9.0.4
                      • We plan to have a new v8 release with the URLs amended within the timeframe given by Protx
                      • Instructions for manually making the changes in Actinic will be posted in the knowledge base later this week. I will comment here with the URL.

It's quite the opposite. From memory it uses XLST documents rendered to HTML using Saxon.!! Add to that a number of enforced rules (e.g. no links off site), and a delayed process in getting amended templates approved, and you have a lengthy, complex process to customise these pages.
Not for the feint hearted, which is why we regularly get asked to do it for people!

                            Hi everyone,

Thanks for your feedback. Please, if you have technical issues or account problems let me know as those will be my priority to fix. We don't want the brand change to interrupt your business, we want it to support your business and help it grow.

I can only speak my own mind and I'm sure this might seem obvious; but I think the new payment pages look great! The old Protx pages have been around since I joined Protx and were starting to look more than a little long in the tooth and as such I have to agree with plantsforshade. I like the look of the templates, they are clean, modern and simple. The buttons look great and I like the little summary box in the top left corner. Okay, sure, I'm bound to say that though arent I?

To be fair, I'm neither a developer nor a techie though, so I am speaking only from a laymans point of view

I know that Protx has become quite a name in the UK PSP market and I feel your concerns. Having a vested interest myself, being a staff member of Protx; the name means more to me than perhaps it does to your average Joe. I think though, that combining ourselves with Sage, one of the leading software providers in the UK, can be nothing but an encouraging thing for customer security and perception. We have made sure that the Prox logo remains on the payment pages so those who have become familiar with Protx will see the logo and think 'Ah, okay, I recognise this and have used this before' and over time will become just as used to and comfortable with the Sage Pay logo and brand, if not more.

With the size of Sage's customer base, I'd wager that there will be alot of brand recognition.

The new templates should be released for download very shortly and I hope you'll find that the customisation will let you get the most out of your pages.

I realise that for some people they feel they have not been informed appropriately and I can only offer my apologies for this. Our email campaigns over the last 2 months reached tens of thousands of people. I can certainly offer to look into this for you if you feel you did not receive one of these emails.

Again, if you have specific complaints or technical issues then feel free to contact me here through the forum as my main role here is to help you in whatever way I can.

Once again, sorry if any of you or your customers have been disrupted or inconvenienced. With this move we are looking only to improve our service to you and I hope that you will see some of the great benefits and additions to our service in the very near future (and with 24 hour support open...well, 24 hours, thats a good start!)

                            Sincerely,

                            Joe

The https://live.sagepay.com/vps2Form/ActSuccess.asp page just doesnt exist. Please help as we took several orders yesterday but can not see what anyone bought.

                                Hi,

I'm happy to phone you or email you or just answer directly from the forum, please let me know.
