That could be the case - not sure if it may also create problems with cookies.

You'll need a site that works and takes money then you tight sod lol. Leave your actinic sites with webfusion.

Just been and checked the webfusion offerings...I notice that they try to charge £275 for Actinic catalog on the fusion business package ...am i right in assuming that I dont have to use their software and can just install the site using designer and then give catalog (which I will buy from Actinic) to my client when site is built- also are there any issues if I just buy the fusion professional (linux) package (which doesn't offer Actinic)? I really don't want to get another reseller account with them (it took me 4 months to stop them taking money from my credit card for non existant domains/accounts)

You shouldn't need any software from the host.
Yes, you can design with Designer and sell a Client to your customer if they don't wish to maintain the design of the site afterwards.

I can't speak for the different packages at webfusion though but I would expect the pro package would be ok.

For some inexplicable reason they are selling V7, OMG please tell me someone isn't trying to clear out an old desk drawer.

If you have developer, you can give your customer the client or catalog or busines version, in rough terms that's £200, £470 or £900 in that order. There are more expensive options also.

Yes, I have developer so I guess I'll bite the bullet and head back to webfusion.
Thanks for the top quality advice folks, I anticipate becoming pretty involved with the forum as I move away from Cubecart shopping carts.

just to update the thread I finally plumped for a Webfusion VPS2.0 value package and all seems straightforward and easy to use so far as regards Actinic...this package will allow upto 30 domains to be hosted for a fee of £15per month.

                    Hi everyone
I keep getting the following message when I try to upload to my site.

You do not have write permissions to the cgi-bin directory "/cgi-bin/" or it does not exist.

                    The directory DOES exist
The path, as far as I can tell, is correct

                    Any suggestions appreciated
                    Regards

The path may not be correct, as Tracey said what is your host, maybe the path should be /nostalgiaclassics.com/cgi-bin/

                          Just a suggestion
