if I am brutally honest I prefer looking at icons etc than the real thing.

Answering posts is quite a scarey thing to do now.... there's all these ugly mugs to get past..

I have sellotaped a strip of paper over the left hand side of the monior - low tech for sure but I can at least reply without prejudice

you see now I have sellotaped an A4 sheet of paper over the right hand side of the monitor. This way I can look at the mugshot, and take a guess at what the problem is

Online mail retrieving (from Clara.net) was very iffy yesterday, not sure if it was Clara or our BT Broadband misbehaving.

Alas the same combo of ISP and host so cant narrow it down either! The site was slow yesterday but seems to be back to full speed today. Emails have been fine.

Thankfully they have not had the same problems as Pinbrook but often these sort of attacks spill over and affect the internet as a whole so the targetted attacks on Pinbrook's data center could possibly have affected Clara (and others)

Been having some `operation timed out` errors the last couple of days.

Have run Spybot* etc, not showing anything odd other than the regular shopping tracking cookies etc.

Anyone else having this with Clara at the moment?


*Anyone use Webroot Spy Sweeper? Looks like an interesting bit of software but the trial slowed our `house pc` right down. Or a dependable alternative?

It must be server specific as main site is running fine but another has just experienced a time out when trying to view the cart

Have been receiving "Virtual host not found on this server" today across all sites ... a few mins and a refesh later the site appears.

Not good at all.
